Have You Started Your Christmas Shopping Yet? {HOT Amazon Toy Deals}

I was making a Christmas suggestions list for my overachieving family members who have already started their Christmas shopping today, and I spotted some amazing Amazon deals already! It’s not even Thanksgiving and they already have 40-60% off of some of the HOT Holiday Toys.

Here’s a few HOT Amazon Toy Deals I found that are on my boy’s lists this Christmas:

Turbo Blu-Ray/DVD Combo $22.99 (regularly $38.99 – 41% savings)

or the DVD version for $17.99 (regularly 29.98 – 40% savings)

We’ve already watched Turbo in the theaters twice, and named it a must-own!  It’s a truly enjoyable story, both for kids and their parents!

Of course ANYTHING LEGO is on their list, including the LEGO Creationary Game, which I found for $24.99 today (regurlarly 34.99 – 29% off) on Amazon.

Side note:  They haven’t gotten into Minecraft craze yet – what’s your opinion, Parents?

Again, can’t say enough great things about Snap Circuits and they’re on sale again for over 40% off!

The Snap Circuits Jr. SC-100 is only $20.55 (we have this one) and it’s bigger brother the SC-300 set is $45.05 (they want this one) right now.

There’s some good deals on Playmobil as well, which are hard to come by.  This Playmobil Knight’s Dragon Castle is $29.99 (instead of $44.99 – 33% savings).

And Magformers are a little pricey, but so awesome.  My boys still LOVE anything building, and I feel like it’s valuable playtime!

They’re listed at $63.99 today (instead of 99.99 – 36% savings)

So have YOU started your Christmas shopping? What deals are you finding?  What’s on YOUR kid’s list this year?

How to Get The Mom/Dad of the Year Award in December

how to surprise kids at Christmas.jpg

Nope, it’s by standing in line in the wee hours of the morning for a Furby, or an XBox, or an iPad.

It goes something like this…

Trick your kids into thinking it’s bedtime early.  Get them in their Christmas pajamas, teeth brushed, and other bedtime shenanigans.

And then pray something like this…

“Dear Jesus, Thank you for the day you’ve given to us today.  Thank you for surprises. Thank you that we don’t have to go to bed right now, and that there is something even better in store…”

Then open your eyes and watch for reactions, and reveal the details…

Our surprise was going downtown to watch The Polar Express on IMAX 3D. {pssst…it’s only $6.98 on Amazon right now…and the other DVDs for under $5 are still available!  Insane…}

Perhaps yours is going out for hot chocolate and cookies, or a drive around to look at Christmas lights, or any sort of festive activity.  {Anything trumps bedtime!}

It was like we had just given each of them a thousand dollars to spend on toys. They pranced around the house. They squealed. They cheered. They jumped. They thanked us a million times. They hugged.

 It was absolutely priceless.

And you know what, it takes away the pressure to get them the ultimate gift or overspend.  These are the memories the Christmas season is made of…
